Connie & Joe on the ridgeline

Too many years since I last did a flower i.d. walk with Joe and Connie Breeze. We’re in the middle of the wildflower surge, and this is what we saw this morning up there on Pam’s Blue Ridge, a two hour brisk walk from their Fairfax home (which is itself flower-bedizened, thanks to Con’s assiduous catalogue-and-trowel work from Scheepers and nd other rare bulb and plant purveyors.

It was a ‘weathery day’ –gray, shifting clouds with blasts of bright sun gilding the hills. then disappearing as we whipped out our nearly identical cameras. I include in my flickr site (see alongside) some of Joe’s fine shotz.
